ساگر لقماني جي ته سائٿ ڪريل آ،
مت ماٺ سڀڪو مُنھن وڙھيل آ.
ھن مسڪين وچارِي جو مُقدّر ٿائي،
معالي ڪائي مادھوري مِلا.
Saagar Luqmani ji tha saath kareel aa,
Mat maait sabhko moonsan warhil aa.
Hin maskeen wechaari jo muqaddar thaai,
Moula kaai Maadhuri milaa.
English Translation:
Saagar Luqmani wishes for good company,
All friends and family seem to be at odds with me.
O Lord, shape the fate of this poor soul,
And grant me a "Maadhuri" to make me whole.
Note: "Maadhuri" refers to the famous Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, adding a humorous contemporary reference to the traditional poetic plea.

بالي وڊ وارا به نياپو ڪرائين.
اهرو منھجو ڪو ڀاڳ بڻا،
معالي ڪائي مادھوري مِلا.
Laali-wood waara pya chakkar lagaaein,
Baali-wood waara bhi niyaapo karaaein.
Ahro manhujo ko bhaag banaa,
Moula, kai Maadhuri milaa.
English Translation:
Bollywood stars keep circling around,
Even the Hollywood stars send messages.
Make my fate like that,
Oh Lord, grant me a "Madhuri."
The poet humorously contrasts his simple life with the glamour of Bollywood and Hollywood celebrities.
بنگلو موٽر ڪار گھرانو ٿو،
لکن جو ڪاروبار گھرانو ٿو،
نوتن جو مٿان مينھ وسائي،

Banglo motor car gharan tho,
Lakhun jo karobaar gharan tho,
Notan jo mathan mehn wasaae,
Moula kaai Maadhuri milaa.
English Translation:
I want a bungalow and a motorcar,
I want a business worth millions by far.
Make it rain with money from the sky,
Oh Lord, grant me a "Madhuri" nearby.
